Amanda Young delivers strategic instructional design and playtesting through experiential, accessible, and results-driven learning in both formal and informal settings. With 15+ years of experience across K–12, nonprofits, and digital transformation, she leads projects that integrate emerging technologies, game-based learning, UDL, and scalable professional development. Amanda specializes in piloting innovative tools and designing human-centered solutions that help learners and organizations grow and adapt.

Her work spans experiential learning and game design, including the redesign of Design Around Town, a Cooper Hewitt Museum project, where she aligned all facilitator and player resources for youth aged 12–15. She embeds accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles into every design element, ensuring learner agency and mastery-based assessment, with full compliance to Section 508, ADA, and WCAG standards. Amanda also develops modular, SCORM-compliant, API-tracked professional learning systems that align with adult learning theory and organizational priorities. Her instructional and organizational design approach is grounded in human-centered project management and focused on driving strategic, transformational outcomes.

Notable Achievements:

Recognized as the 2021 Microsoft Education Community Influencer of the Year for her advocacy and work in educational accessibility and equity, Amanda is the leader of an award-winning public virtual school. With a mission to transform education through integrating UDL, eLearning, and blended learning strategies, she designs scalable professional learning for leaders and educators which produced an astonishing 250% enrollment growth and over 20% graduation rate increase in four years. Amanda has earned multiple state and national honors for educational leadership, teaching, and human-centered learning. She is currently completing her doctorate in Instructional Design & Performance Technology, with a focus on accessible eLearning ecosystems.
