Game & Activity Submissions for Cruise Guests

Have an idea for a game or activity?

At Guardian Adventures, we believe games and immersive experiences can transform ordinary travel into unforgettable journeys. Are you a game designer or creator who enjoys sparking curiosity, laughter, and connections with players? We are collaborating with a major cruise line to bring fresh, original entertainment to their ships and we want to hear from you. This is your opportunity to design experiences that will reach thousands of travelers from around the world, leaving them with stories they’ll carry long after the voyage ends.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: SEPTEMBER 5, 2025.

What We’re Looking For:

Engaging gameplay or activities that quickly engage groups of strangers, helping participants feel at ease and encouraging meaningful interaction, even among people who have never met before.
Inclusive activities welcoming all ages, languages, and backgrounds (although activities specifically for adults are also welcome)
Gameplay or activities guests can play with little or no staff facilitator assistance
Memorable and unique cruise ship experiences travelers will talk about long after they return home

Activity/Game Requirements:

Gameplay or activities can be completed in less than 45 minutes
Engagement should be for up to 50 people at a time. The smaller the group, the more it needs to scale (IE. many groups can do their own experience at the same time)
Games that don’t run longer than 45 minutes (including explaining rules)
All rules and story elements must be explained clearly and concisely in 10 minutes or less
Must not need bulky equipment (storage limitations)
Must not involve flames, sparks, smoke, fog, or dangerous chemicals
Takeaways/Consumables can’t be more than $1 person
Any power needs must be supplied by batteries; no wired/plugin power sources used
Must provide a source list for all equipment/supplies (cost and where to purchase)

If you can’t meet the project’s timeline, Guardian Adventures may still bring your idea to life while ensuring you receive an idea fee (10% of your quoted development fee) and credit.
You’ll be part of a project that reflects the power of games to inspire transformation, connection, and play.
And of course… you name your own fee.

Important Expectations:

This is a professional opportunity, not a contest. Submissions are reviewed for potential development with our client. Only games that have not been publicly run before will be considered.
Our client is a large organization, and their approval process can take 3–6 months. Please keep this in mind when submitting. If purchased, the game and all IP will become the exclusive ownership of the client.
In our experience, development, testing, and video recording fees that total more than 5-12K (not including test equipment) are not often selected unless the activity is exceptionally unique.
Only human-generated concepts will be considered. AI-generated content is not in alignment with what our client is seeking.
There are more considerations that you should be aware of such as how submissions are rated, ownership of IP, etc. So please take the time to read our Terms of Submission before sending your ideas.
