Where did you come from?
What is your family lineage?
Are you looking for something or someone from your past? Are they looking for you?
What is your Coat of Arms, or your symbol? What does your name mean?
Are you a wandering musician, or a warrior on a quest?
What are your Characters goals? What motivates you?

These are only a few of the questions you or your Hero should ask yourself when coming up with a character. Whether it be for camp, for a novel, or for a LARP, creating a character is a process. Have you been struggling with this process recently? We may have a solution for you:

You may have noticed that we have a new event coming up… A “Character Backstory Workshop”. Held on June 1st, this workshop is meant to help flesh out a fully explored character for your writing or performance. The age range is 14+, so older campers who are looking to delve deeper into their camp characters are also encouraged to attend.

As well, if you have a younger Hero who wants to get into writing backstories, let them know that they can send us their Character History and we will do our best to incorporate it into the camp plot this summer. They may see monsters or characters from their own stories, or solve mysteries of their own creation…
