The Heroes sat around the campfire, listening to the closing ceremonies and reminiscing about the adventures they had this summer… When suddenly, they were interrupted by a familiar face! Baba Yaga, a witch they had met this summer while exploring Bulgarian mythology, approached the circle. A hush fell over the group as she spoke her next words:

“Heroes, I trust you have not forgotten that you still owe me a favor. I helped you defeat the terrible Lamia with my potion, and now you shall help me with my quest. I need you to travel to a far-away land, find the infamous seer and prophet Zarqa’ al-Yamama, and bring me her eyes. Yes, that’s right, her eyes. Do this for me, Heroes, and I will consider your favor to me fulfilled. After all, Heroes are true to your word, are they not?”

Without another glance, Baba Yaga turned and left the Heroes in stunned silence. What will they do? They can’t possibly fulfill her gruesome task, but how else will they keep their word to this powerful witch? The only way to know for sure is to Pre-Register for next year, and see for yourself.

We look forward to seeing our Heroes for our exploration into Arabic and Syrian ancient folklore for our 2019 Wizards & Warriors season, and we are excited to be working with our new Cultural Consultant, Alma Richeh, the Executive Director of the Center for Arabic Culture in creating a world to remember!

As you read this, most of the adventures into Sidleterra will be over. The Shifting Caverns have all shifted, the Tavern doors have closed up, and the Trading Post has packed up and moved on. Memories made and monsters slain, the heroes of the summer have successfully defended the realm once again and Sidleterra remains safe for another year. Houses one and all have learned their strengths counted on each other, and defeated evil using their skills and teamwork. The lessons learned this summer, in and out of the houses, will last our heroes the whole year back in their communities as they wait for the portal to our summer home to open once again.
That does not mean the adventure is over… Blackwatch camp starts up Sunday night for 3 days of intense mystery adventure for some of our older campers, and our Burlington location will hold open the portals to Sidleterra for three more weeks. With so much adventure under our belts and so much more to go, we can look back on our achievements and be proud of the lessons we learned as we move forward into the year ahead.

Our yearly sojourn into the realm of Sidleterra is almost over and we want to hear from you, our wonderful Guardian Adventures family. Your Heroes have conquered the Zombie invasion and have battled with honor during Wizards & Warriors, making memories that will last them the rest of the year, and formed lifetime bonds. What stories have they brought home? What tales have they spun around the dinner table? How have you seen them grow and change upon their return to you after our adventures are over?

Our Heroes change Sidleterra every summer for the better and we are interested in how Sidleterra changes them as well as the world around them. We hope that our staff and experience have made a good impression on you and your Heroes, and we would like to hear about it.
