Have a deep curiosity about the land of Japan?  This class is for you! Join fellow students who share a common interest in learning more about the vibrant and unique culture found in Japan. Classes will have discussions about the history of Japan from ancient times to present day.  As well, we discuss Japanese pop culture, which includes anime, manga, music, food, movies, and fashion.

We will talk about what makes Japanese culture appealing and find out why and how the Japanese mindset has become popular in the West. Our class is a fun adventure exploring the rich and often subtle culture of Japan through books, blogs, websites, movies, and field trips to Japanese cultural events.
